We would like to announce that we closed the Silent Art Auction in Kiyosumi, on Saturday April 16th, 2011 at 19:00 pm (JST). We are entirely grateful for all the participants including the artists who donated the works, bidders and all the supporters. Thank you very much.

After confirming the payments by all the successful bidders received by April 22nd, we will donate all the proceeds, amount of JPY38,564,467 , to Japanplatform.
We would like to hope for the safety of all those who have been affected by the earthquake in the Tohoku region.
Opening announcement for a silent charity auction in aid of the areas affected in the North Eastern Japan earthquake.
We offer our deepest prayers to all those who lost their lives in the unprecedented crisis of the North Eastern Japan earthquake and its ensuing aftermath, as well as our sympathy to the survivors and their families, and to all those whom were involved.
At the Kiyosumi Gallery Complex we will hold a silent charity auction in order to gather donations to aid the areas affected by the earthquake which struck the North Eastern region of Japan. The galleries will jointly mount an exhibition of participating artists’ work which will be open for bidding. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Japan Platform. http://www.japanplatform.org/
The auction is structured solely on an open bidding basis in which those wishing to participate will each fill out an ABSENTEE BIDS FORM. There will be no competitive bids. The individual whom has placed the highest bid will be the successful bidder. Only the successful bidder whom has placed the highest bid will be contacted. (Please note in advance that we will not contact all participants with regards to the succession of their bid)

***Artist Day***
As part of the Silent Art Auction in Kiyosumi, we will be holding an Artist Day from 6pm-8pm on Friday, 15th April, at the exhibition space in Tomio Koyama Gallery. The participating artists from all exhibiting galleries at their convenience, will gather together with food and drinks of local produce from the Tohoku (North Eastern) region of Japan. This event is not only for participating artists, but is also open to the general public.
